Cookies Policy
This Cookies Policy explains how synvibe.ai (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. We aim to keep things minimal: we do not run logins or user accounts right now, our fonts are served locally from our own server, and—apart from Google Analytics—we do not set tracking cookies. We also maintain a very simple page-view counter that does not store IP addresses or any personally identifiable information.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
What cookies do we use?
1) Strictly necessary / functional
At the moment we do not set any strictly necessary cookies on the public site. If this changes (for example to keep a short-lived preference), we will update this policy.
2) Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our pages (e.g., which pages
are popular, how long people stay). Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga, _gid,
and others, which can persist for up to 24 months, depending on Google’s settings. These cookies help us generate
aggregated, anonymized statistics about website usage.
| Cookie | Purpose | Provider | Typical Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes users for analytics reports (aggregated). | Google Analytics | Up to 24 months |
| _gid | Short-term user distinction for analytics. | Google Analytics | 24 hours |
| _gat (or similar) | Limits request rate (throttling) in analytics. | Google Analytics | 1 minute |
Note: Exact cookie names can vary (e.g., GA4 uses different naming). Google may update names and retention. See Google’s documentation for the latest details.
3) Local fonts
All fonts are served locally from our own infrastructure. We do not use external font CDNs, and no additional cookies are set for fonts.
4) Simple page-view counter (no cookies)
We increment an internal page-view counter on each page load to understand overall traffic. This counter does not set cookies and does not store IP addresses or other personal data—only an aggregated count per page.
Third-party cookies
Apart from Google Analytics, we do not intentionally allow third-party cookies. If we embed new third-party services in the future (e.g., social widgets, video players), we will update this policy accordingly.
Managing cookies
You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish—see allaboutcookies.org. Most browsers let you refuse or remove cookies via settings. If you block analytics cookies, our site will still work, but we will have less accurate usage data.
Legal basis
Where required, we rely on your consent to place analytics cookies. In other contexts, we use legitimate interests to improve our service based on aggregated, non-personal usage insights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our services. We will post the latest version here and update the “Last updated” date at the top.
